Norbert Finger no flight time, no touch down speed, no arrival status, no landing distance. Based on work done by the Americas' Hub Captain, Bryan Opalka, and after discusison at our Board Meeting, the Noble Air Board has agreed to standardize the PIREP. Landing Rate Rejection Criteria - Any landing that exceeds a rate of -1250 fpm will be rejected as this is (at best) a borderline crash. - If the aircraft bounces upon landing, and multiple touchdowns occur, if ANY touchdown exceeds a -1250 fpm rate the PIREP will be rejected. - Any landing with a ZERO landing distance, for fixed wing aircraft only. - Any landing that has a positive rate will be rejected, as you cannot land at a positive rate. In Flight Refueling - If the aircraft is refueled in flight (airborne) the PIREP will be rejected. Manual Filed PIREPS - Any manually filed report that does not include a comment stating why the report was filed manually will be rejected. Airports Not On Flight Plan - Departing from an airport that was not the scheduled/planned departure airport will cause the PIREP to be rejected. - Arriving at an airport that was not the scheduled/planned arrival airport will cause the PIREP to be rejected, unless a legitimate diversion occurred (indicated in PIREP comments). Flight Diversion - If a condition caused a flight to divert from its intended destination, the reason for the diversion MUST be noted in the PIREP comments in order for the PIREP to be considered for possible approval. If there is not comment the PIREP will be rejected. - A flight to the original destination airport MUST be flown from the diversion airport before either PIREP will be considered for approval. We realize that Flight Simming, and Noble Air specifically, are hobbies and not real-world situations, we also want to strive to keep it "As Real As It Gets" (to borrow from Microsoft!) as much as we can. I am certain that if you look at these criteria, it is easy to understand our reasoning. We now have the same standards for everyone.
